With the start of the November 2026 sales events, Israel Post is ramping up its operations and publishing recommendations for smart online ordering. Over the coming month, a 30% to 40% increase in the volume of packages is expected compared to a routine period, meaning that hundreds of thousands of packages will arrive in the country daily, totaling millions throughout the entire month.
Israel Post is reinforcing its workforce in the sorting center as well as among courier and postal delivery teams in order to deliver packages to their destinations in the shortest possible time. In addition, amid concerns over online fraud during the month, Post Finance is offering a card that allows budget control and separation from a bank account.
Udi Sharon, CEO of Israel Post Logistics, noted that as every year, November brings with it shopping holidays, including Shopping IL, Singles’ Day, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday. According to him, the Post anticipates a very significant growth in packages, between 30 and 40 percent relative to routine periods, and is preparing for even more. Sharon added that Post employees are working around the clock, including the courier and postal delivery array, in order to be able to bring every package to the right place as quickly as possible.
Ronen Galperin, CEO of Post Finance, explained that November’s shopping holidays have become a significant consumer and financial event, during which many online transactions are carried out in a short period of time, consequently increasing exposure to fraud and phishing attempts. Galperin noted that the responsibility as a financial body is to make payment methods available to the public that allow for secure management. The company’s reloadable card, which is based on a pre-defined amount and is not connected to a bank account or credit card, allows shoppers to manage their shopping budget and minimize the exposure of their bank account to fraud.
Meanwhile, the Post is publishing a series of tips for smart and safe online ordering during the shopping month. First, it is recommended to ensure complete and accurate details, including a full name, updated address, and a seven-digit postal code. In the case of shipping to a workplace, the recipient’s name must be listed in the designated field and the company name in the address field. Additionally, it is advisable to check import restrictions and verify whether a product is permitted for personal import and if special approvals are required.
Furthermore, it is recommended to purchase only from reliable websites, check the seller’s reliability, and review delivery times. To pay with a defined budget and separate from a bank account, the reloadable card can be used. It is also important to save the tracking number, which allows users to stay updated on the shipment status and locate its whereabouts.
The Post warns against impersonation messages and recommends checking messages containing requests for payment or personal details exclusively on the official website. Finally, it is recommended to pay in the original currency of the website to save conversion fees, and to pay attention to the value of the order. Products valued up to $75 are exempt from VAT subject to conditions, whereas for orders above this amount, the additional tax must be taken into account as part of the purchase cost.
